Set in 1939, Terrence Rattigan’s play follows aging Mayfair socialites David and Joan Scott-Fowler as their 12 year marriage comes under threat from Helen, the young wife of David’s cousin Peter. As the Second World War looms ominously on the horizon, the former ‘Bright Young Things’ attempt to paper over the cracks in their relationship and lose themselves in drink, drugs and lavish parties with tragic consequences.

Adrian plays John Reid, David and Joan’s perpetually inebriated houseguest, in the production.
