A graduate of Cornell and Harvard, Alan Krueger is the Bendheim Professor of Economics and Public Affairs at Princeton. He has served as the Chief Economist of the US Department of Labour (1994-1995) and as Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Economic Policy (2009-2010). He was unanimously confirmed by the US Senate as Chairman of President Obama's Council of Economic Advisors in November 2011, and served as Chairman until August 2013.
