Alice Pung is the acclaimed author of the memoirs Unpolished Gem and Her Father's Daughter and the novel Laurinda, published as Lucy and Lim in the US (by Erin Clark at Knopf). She is the editor of the landmark anthology Growing Up Asian in America. Her lead editor is the much-admired Chris Feik at Black Inc in Australia. She has been published in the UK and the US and acclaimed by critics and writers including Amy Tan. She is the recipient of many awards and prizes, writes frequently on social and ethical issues, and is an ambassador and/or volunteer for several important social causes. She lives in Melbourne with her husband and two young sons, and is a solicitor for Victoria’s Fair Work Commission.
