Comedy writer for radio and television

Andy started writing comedy in 2010 because he was rubbish at jobs.

His first script won a national BBC sit-com competition and was read at an Edinburgh Festival showcase. In 2011 he was awarded the prestigious BBC Radio writer's bursary and spent the next few years writing and script editing on dozens of radio and TV shows.

In 2017 he was named on the BBC New Talent Hotlist, a list of new emerging talent tipped as future stars.

He has written Trying, Apple's first ever British scripted original, a relationship comedy starring Esther Smith and Rafe Spall. It premieres on May 1st 2020.
