Cyrstal Chan is the author of BIRD (Atheneum/S&S, 2014), a middle grade novel published in nine countries and a finalist for the 2016 Waterstones Children’s Book Prize in the UK. She is a regular speaker on diversity at schools, colleges, and corporate events, and a regular on Wisconsin Public Radio. She’s also an advisor to SCBWI-IL’s diversity initiatives and
facilitated SCBWI-WI’s inaugural diversity committee launch.
