Dawn Beresford’s debut novel Blessed Joan, Beloved Amy was shortlisted for the Curtis Brown First Novel Prize in October 2019.

She was shortlisted for the Penguin Random House Write Now 2017 scheme and longlisted for the Borough Press Open Submissions Competition in 2019.

Dawn is Head of Talent for CPL Productions and Arrow International Media. She sits on the Advisory Board for the social enterprise Creative Access and on the Advisory Group for the Indie Training Fund. A trained journalist, Dawn spent eight years making travel documentaries and lived in Barbados for five years. She was selected to be a Women in Film and Television 2019 Mentee.

She lives in Kent with her husband and three children.
