Luke
Rollason

Comedy writer performer and clown

Luke Rollason is a performer, writer and clown.

Luke performs absurdly creative physical comedy. His first solo show, the one-man nature documentary Planet Earth III, performed sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe and at festivals across the country, before transferring to a sell-out run at the SOHO Theatre in 2019. The show was nominated for ONCA's Green Curtain Award in 2017.

His second solo show, Infinite Content, attracted rave reviews at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe. Chortle called it "pure, unbridled, laugh-out-loud silliness."

Luke is half of funk-comedy double act Stepdads, who came second place in the 2019 Musical Comedy Awards and the 2019 Leicester Square Sketch Off competitions.

As a member of cult clown collective Bright Buoy, Luke won the 2019 Otherplace Award. The group performed their sell-out physical comedy show Privates: A Sperm Odyssey to packed houses at the Edinburgh Fringe, before performing a sell-out SOHO Theatre run.

Luke trained at the infamous clown school L'Ecole Philippe Gaulier.

As a writer, Luke has been previously commissioned by Channel 4's Random Acts, and has written for Chortle and BBC Radio 4 Extra.
