It’s 1999 and Danielle has danced for years at the Lovely Lady strip club. She’s not used to taking anyone under her wing, but the new girl Jolene is helpless, and Danielle overrides her better judgement to help her. Danielle is driving Jolene home when they are run off the road.
Detectives immediately investigate — and find only one body. Told from multiple points of view, Real Easy draws on the author’s own experience as a stripper, as well as interviews with police force, to immerse us in a subculture that is all too often reduced to cliché.
