Rachel recently presented a BBC Three documentary investigating Bipolar Disorder in men as a part of BBC Three's mental health season It's a Mad World.
Rachel's documentary specifically focused on her father, the former heavyweight boxer and TV personality Frank Bruno, and how they as a family have dealt with his Bipolar Disorder. Rachel also wrote an accompanying article for the BBC magazine.
Rachel works on various campaigns to help beat the stigma surrounding mental health with the charities Time to Change and Mind. In February 2016 she took part in the Time to Talk day alongside Clarke Carlisle to help encourage people to talk about mental health and help break the silence that surrounds the issue.
The programme was presented by Bruno’s daughter Rachel, who proved to be down-to-earth, candid and matter-of-fact. She guided us through a fascinating collection of home videos from the Eighties, conversations with Bruno himself, and input from scientists and fellow sufferers.
