Playwright and scriptwriter for film and TV.

Susan is a playwright and screenwriter who hails from Hawaii. She is currently writing on series three of the hit HBO show Succession. She also wrote on both of the first two series. Susan was awarded Best Episodic Drama for episode 5 in series 3 of Succession at the WGA awards. 

She is developing new work with Yale Repertory Theater, South Coast Rep and Ensemble Studio Theater. She has worked with Disney Creative Entertainment and received a Feature Film Development Grant and Screenwriting Award from the Sloan Foundation.

Susan is an inaugural recipient of the Venturous Playwrights Fellowship with the Lark, a two-time Sundance Institute's Theater Lab Resident Playwright, and an alumni of the Public Theater’s Emerging Writers Group.

Her plays include We, The Invisibles, winner of Leah Ryan’s FEWW award, Today Is My Birthday, which premiered at Sundance and Takarazuka!!! an East West Players Production.

She is writing on shows for HBO, BBC, AMC and developing work in the UK and the US.
