Will Page was the Chief Economist at Spotify (2012-19), previously held the same title at PRS for Music (2006-12) - where he published pioneering work on the Long Tail and Radiohead's In Rainbows and had a pivotal role in saving BBC 6Music. Since joining Spotify in 2012, Will has explored ‘the anatomy of a hit’, calculated the global value of music copyright and reformed the definition of catalogue.
A passionate communicator, Will’s work is regularly featured in The Economist and the Financial Times. He has also been profiled in The Daily Telegraph. From his first break - writing for Straight No Chaser magazine - to producing a recent documentary on West African Highlife and chart-topping DJ sets, Will demonstrates that economics should be explained while music is being enjoyed.

Will is a Visiting Fellow of the London School of Economics and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. His first book, Tarzan Economics: Eight Principles for Pivoting Through Disruption will be published by Simon & Schuster and Little, Brown in 2021.
