John Batt

John Batt is a solicitor and has written extensively about the law, mainly for television.

In 2000 he represented Sally Clark who was convicted of murdering her two sons and ordered to serve two sentences of life imprisonment. John was part of her appeal team during her re-trial. After 3 years in prison Sally was acquitted in 2003 and sadly died in 2007 aged 42.

Stolen Innocence is the story of Sally Clark's miscarriage of justice as recorded and written by John Batt. It was published by Ebury Press in 2004.
