Matt Nable has had an interesting and varied career. In 1989 he was contracted to play rugby league for Manly Warringah and after three seasons, moved to South Sydney. He moved to the UK to chase the dream of career footballer but ended up moving back to Australia after two seasons. In the midst of this, he starting writing a novel entitled The Final Winter which subsequently became a film which was shot in September 2006. Matt played the lead role, and Paramount Pictures bought the rights in May 2007.
Since then, he’s starred in a two hour pilot for Sony Pictures in which he plays the lead, he’s been offered roles in other Australian and US films and two of his screenplays are currently in development. His primary love however is writing novels and his very first, We Don’t Live Here Anymore, was published by Penguin Books.
