BAFTA TV 2020 Nominations

Nominations for the 2020 BAFTA TV Awards have been announced, honouring Curtis Brown clients across the range of categories.

Callum Turner is nominated for Leading Actor for his performance in BBC drama The Capture.

Gbemisola Ikumelo is nominated for Female Performance in a Comedy Programme for BBC sketch show Famalam and also received a nomination for Best Short Form Programme for her BBC comedy short Brain in Gear.

Guz Khan and Ncuti Gatwa received nominations for Male Performance in a Comedy Programme for their roles in Man Like Mobeen and Sex Education. 

For his performance in HBO's Chernoboyl, Stellan Skarsgård is nominated for Supporting Actor. 

Lauren Evans has been nominated for new award Scripted Casting for her work on Sex Education.

For Features, Paul Whitehouse is nominated for Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing and for News Coverage Victoria Derbyshire is nominated for Victoria Derbyshire: Men who Lost Loved ones to Knife Crime. 

Toby Haynes is nominated for Director (Fiction) for Brexit: The Uncivil War. The film was written by James Graham and is also nominated for Single Drama.

HBO's Succession has been nominated for International Series. The show is co-executive produced and written by Tony Roche, Georgia Pritchett & Jon Brown. Susan Stanton also wrote on the series. 

The Crown is nominated for Drama Series with an episode written by James Graham and two episodes directed by Christian Schwochow.

Tom Basden has been nominated for Writer (Comedy) for Plebs.

Tinge Krishnan is part of the team nominated for Short Form Programme for Soon Gone: A Windrush Chronicle, which she directed.

Elizabeth is Missing, written by Andrea Gibb and based on the book by Emma Healey, received a nomination for Single Drama. Responsible Child, directed by Nick Holt, is nominated in the same category.

And Derry Girls, executive produced and developed by Liz Lewin, has been nominated for Scripted Comedy.

The winners will be announced in a ceremony from a closed studio on 31st July.
