Curtis Brown Authors Storm Sisters in Crime Davitt Awards Longlist

Curtis Brown authors have stormed the Sisters in Crime Davitt Awards 2018 longlist, with 11 writers nominated across three genres. A record 101 books are in contention for the award and we are delighted to have so many of our talented authors recognised for this distinguished prize.

The Sisters in Crime Davitt Awards celebrate the best crime books written by Australian women in a bid to ‘discover and nurture the talent of the criminal kind’.

Seven of our authors have been listed in the Adult Crime Fiction category including Jane Harper for Force of Nature, Sarah Schmidt’s See What I Have Done, Pip Smith’s Half Wild and Anna George’s The Lone Child. The Way Back by Kylie Ladd has also been nominated, as well as Rachel Leary’s Bridget Crack and Sara Foster’s The Hidden Hours

Carol Baxter’s The Fabulous Flying Mrs Miller, Sarah Krasnostein’s The Trauma Cleaner and Baby Lost by Hannah Robert have all been nominated in the Non-Fiction Crime category. And, in the Young Adult category, Fleur FerrisWreck has been featured.

The prize shortlist will be announced later this month.
