CWA Daggers 2022 Shortlist Announced

We are delighted to have several brilliant Curtis Brown and C&W clients featured on the shortlist for the CWA Daggers 2022, which has just been announced.

The Trawlerman by William Shaw, the fourth book in the much-acclaimed DS Alexandra Cupidi series, has been shortlisted for the Gold Dagger, awarded to the best crime novel.

In the ALCS Gold Dagger for Non-Fiction category Patrick Radden Keefe has been nominated for Empire of Pain, the thrilling tale of the Sackler family dynasty that has been billed a "a page-turner with a villainous family to rival the Roys in Succession". The Devil You Know by Gwen Adshead & Eileen Horne (deemed an “unmissable book” by The Guardian) has been nominated in the same category, a clear-eyed exploration of what drives someone to commit acts of terrible violence by an internationally renowned forensic psychiatrist and psychotherapist. Ben Machell's The Unusual Suspect, the remarkable true story of what happened when a British college student started robbing banks as the financial crisis unfolded, is also shortlisted in this category.

The winners will be announced at a live event in London on Wednesday 29 June.

Good luck to all Curtis Brown and C&W shortlisted authors!
