Grayson Perry wins the hat-trick for ‘Best Documentary Presenter’ at The Grierson Awards

Grayson Perry has taken the top spot for Best Documentary Presenter at The 2017 Grierson Awards - winning the award for the third time.

These prestigious Awards commemorate the pioneering Scottish Documentary Film-maker John Grierson, and stand as the biggest event of the year within the artistic genre.

Grayson won the award with his three-part documentary- Grayson Perry: All Man, which explores the concept of masculinity.

Jury Chair, Sanjay Singhal, explained: "What sets Grayson apart is his ability to elevate the everyday and the ordinary to a higher level of meaning. He possesses a unique combination of intellect and populism, intimacy and ambition. A genuine one of a kind."

Also nominated in this category was Stacey Dooley for Stacey Dooley Investigates: Young Sex for Sale in Japan.
