International success for Chris Whitaker
Chris Whitaker is taking world by storm with his latest novel We Begin At The End. Following it's UK success, where it was chosen as Waterstones Thriller of the Month for August 2020, Whitaker's captivating mystery is now making waves in America and has been chosen for both the Good Morning America Bookclub and the Barnes & Noble Book Club as well as making several US lists of the most anticipated novels of the Spring.
Outside of North America, the book has sold in 17 different territories.
The screen rights have now been snapped up by Disney's 20th Century in a multi way auction. Thomas Kail (director of Hamilton) and Jennifer Todd (Showtime's City on a Hill) will develop the book under their Old 320 Sycamore banner and are currently searching for a writer to adapt the novel.
Added Whitaker, "I’ve spent such a large part of my life writing this book, and it means everything to have the perfect partners for this story in Tommy, Jennifer and Karey. I couldn’t be more thrilled."
