Jamael Westman stars as Hamilton

The hotly anticipated London production of Hamilton opens in London at the Victoria Palace Theatre in December. The company is lead by newcomer Jamael Westman, playing the title role of Alexander Hamilton.

Hamilton has broken already box office records in the US and subsequently here in London and won 11 Tony Awards. It tells the story of founding father Alexander Hamilton, from his beginnings as an impoverished orphan in the Caribbean, his rise fighting in the War of Independence and his role in the cabinet alongside President George Washington.

Jamael Westman graduated from RADA in 2016 and was immediately cast in Nathaniel Martello-White’s family drama Torn directed by Richard Twyman at the Royal Court.

Miriam-Teak Lee also joins the cast in the ensemble and covering all the Schulyer Sisters. She recently won the Stage Debut Award for Best Actress for the role of Clare in On the Town at Regents Park Open Air Theatre directed and choreographed by Drew McOnie.
