James Graham's INK to premiere on Broadway in 2019

After a critically acclaimed, sell-out run at London's Almeida Theatre, and a transfer to Duke of York Theatre in the West End, James Graham's play Ink is set to premiere on Broadway in 2019.

The Broadway premiere will begin previews April 2 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre ahead of an April 24 opening as part of Manhattan Theatre Club's 2018–2019 season.

Set in the pubs and offices of 1960's Fleet Street, James' play depicts the birth of the UK's most influential newspaper. A young and rebellious Rupert Murdoch sets out to deliver a newspaper that will give the people what they want; gathering a team of misfits and mavericks he pits himself against an industry resistant to his newly formed brand of populism.

James Graham is an award-winning playwright and writer for film and television. His newest play Quiz has opened at the Noel Coward Theatre having transferred from a sell-out, critically acclaimed run at Chichester Theatre. His play Labour of Love won the 2018 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy.
