Katie Leung stars in Snow in Midsummer at the RSC

Katie Leung stars in the RSC’s Snow in Midsummer, the first production from their Chinese Translations series.

Executed for a crime she didn’t commit, young widow Dou Yi (Katie Leung) vows that if she is innocent, snow will fall in midsummer and a catastrophic drought will strike. Three years later a businesswoman must expose the injustices that Dou Yi suffered before the curse destroys the town and her daughter.

Directed by Justin Audibert and written by Frances Ya-Chu Cowhig this ancient story runs at the RSC’s Swan Theatre from Thursday 2nd March until Saturday 25th
March.
