I Told My Mum I Was Going on an RE Trip, directed by Lindy Heymann, broadcasts on BBC Two

Featured as this week’s Critics Choice in The Sunday Times and The Guardian's Pick of The DayI Told My Mum interweaves real interview material, song and spoken word to portray the true stories of four young women and their experiences with abortion. The show was originally created by 20 Stories High, the Liverpool-based theatre company.

Lindy Heymann won a BIFA for Best Directorial Debut for her feature film Showboy. Her second feature film, Kicks, premiered at Edinburgh and was nominated for the Michael Powell award. Lindy has most recently directed on the The Worst Witch, as well as 2nd unit on Humans, and Thirteen. She also recently directed a short film, featuring Colin Morgan (Merlin, Testament of Youth) Kerrie Hayes (Nowhere Boy), and shot by Eduard Grau (A Single Man, The Awakening).
