Maiden is released in UK Cinemas

Maiden charts the inspirational story of Tracy Edwards, skipper of the first all-female sailing crew to enter the Whitbread Round the World Race in 1989.

Written and directed by Alex Holmes and executive produced by James Erskine, the film documents Tracy's refusal to give up on her dream. Despite being opposed by male competitors, the yachting press and potential sponsors, she had the support of a remarkable crew and risked all to prove that women are equal of men.

Maiden is showing in UK cinemas from 7th March.
