Nico 1988 & Sweet Country win at Venice

John Gordon Sinclair stars in Susanna Nicchiarelli's Nico 1988, which has taken home the Best Film award in the Horizons section at Venice.

Nico 1988 is a biopic about Velvet Underground lead singer Christa Paffgen – John plays the role of Richard, based on Nico’s friend, mentor and manager.

Sam Neill stars in Warwick Thornton's period Western Sweet Country, which has scooped the Special Jury Prize. It has also won the Premio Bisato d'Oro award, the Venice Critic's award for Best Film.
