Peter Harness's The War of the Worlds starts on BBC One

A new adaptation of The War of the Worlds, written by Peter Harness, starts Sunday 17th November on BBC One.

Set in Edwardian England and based on the classic tale by H.G. Wells, the three-part drama follows George (Rafe Spall) and Amy (Eleanor Tomlinson) as they deal with a Martian invasion of Earth. 

Peter Harness is a writer for film and television. He adapted the best-selling Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell for the BBC, as well as writing and executive producing hit detective drama Wallander.

Featuring Matt Tait as Andrew, Milo Twomey as Sergeant Major Hussar and Harry Melling as Artillery Man.
