Sarah Solemani's Urban Myth to air on Sky

Sarah Solemani’s episode of the Sky Urban Myths series will air on Sky Arts.

Before she became a legend of music world, Madonna was wrapped up in a passionate relationship with art pioneer Jean-Michel Basquiat. Set on one night on the New York subway, the episode tells the story of Basquiat and Madonna, before she broke through to world-wide fame and he met an untimely and tragic death.

Sarah Solemani is an acclaimed writer and actor. Her credits include Aphrodite Fry for Sky, described by Metro as ‘a British answer to Girls’, and writing on the Emmy-nominated show Barry. She is currently adapting hit novel Ridley Road for television and working on her first original feature as a writer-director.

Sky Urban Myths: Madonna & Basquiat will air at 9pm on Sky Arts on Wednesday 15th May, and is also available to watch on Now TV.
