The Sex Pistols series 'Pistol' comes to FX and Disney+

'Pistol', the hotly anticipated limited series about the iconic British punk rock band The Sex Pistols, comes to FX on Hulu and Disney+ on 31st May.

Directed by Danny Boyle, the series stars Anson Boon as John Lydon and Thomas Brodie-Sangster as the Pistols' controversial manager Malcolm McLaren. Iris Law also stars as Soo Catwoman, with Catriona Chandler as Jeannie, Beth Dillon as Siouxsie Sioux, Kevin Eldon as Bill Grundy, Lorne MacFadyen as Julien Temple, Robert Lonsdale as Chris Thomas, and Zion Battles as Don Letts.


The six-part series is based on Steve Jones’ 2017 memoir Lonely Boy: Tales from a Sex Pistol, and follows the band's co-founder Jones from West London's council estates to Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood's fames boutique 'SEX' - one of the early centres of punk culture in London. The show will chronicle the band's early days in West London and their meteoric rise and fall.

All six episodes of the HBO series will be available to stream on FX on Hulu and Disney+ on 31st May 2022.
