Erik Richter Strand’s Valkyrien begins on Channel 4

Created, written and directed by Erik Richter Strand, Valkyrien is a high concept Norwegian thriller series that follows a physician, desperately seeking a cure for his wife's terminal illness, who begins working in an illegal clinic hidden in a disused Oslo underground station. The show won Best Drama and Best Male Actor at the Gullruten 2017 awards.

Prior to Valkyrian, Erik wrote and directed on the Jo Nesbo created show Occupied. His feature film Sons played at numerous film festivals world wide and received several awards among them The Fassbinder Prize in Mannheim, Germany and The Grand Jury Award at the Seattle International Film Festival, USA.

Valkyrien begins on Channel 4, Sunday 13th August at 9pm.
