Translation Rights Executive (Book Department) - Two Vacancies

We are looking for two energetic, creative and highly motivated
Translation Rights Executives to work in the Translation Rights Department. These roles will be to support our Translation Rights Agents and handle deals in our co-agented Eastern European territories in addition to general administrative tasks for
the department.

Our ideal candidates will be highly organised, enjoy working in an ambitious team
and will feel confident handling a high volume of work, including contractual
details and administrative details. You will have keen interest
in book publishing and the foreign markets, an understanding of digital and
social media, and a sharp eye for detail. Knowledge of a foreign language is
helpful but not necessary.

This role gives an ideal opportunity for an assistant to
use their excellent administrative skills to discover more about
international publishing, build excellent knowledge and contacts within
the industry and work with an incredible stable of authors across the
Curtis Brown and ICM lists.

Contracts Assistant (Books)

We are looking for an energetic and highly motivated assistant to join our Contracts Team. Reporting into the Head of Book Contracts, this role will focus primarily on the Translation Rights Department, supporting their negotiations with publishers and helping to draft some of the more complex translation agreements. This role will also assist with English language contracts as required and carry out some general administrative tasks for the contracts/legal team.

Our ideal candidate will have worked in a publisher's contracts department or have worked closely with contracts at a literary agency or other media company.  This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with contracts administration experience who is seeking a greater level of responsibility and autonomy.

We expect excellent communication skills, the skill to juggle competing interests tactfully while delivering to tight deadlines and an ability to carefully research and solve queries creatively.
