Senior Literary Assistant - Book Department

​​​We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Literary Assistant to join our Book Department and help support the office of literary agent Jonny Geller. This role is part of a team of three working together in our Haymarket offices.

Jonny Geller is both an agent and the CEO of our business. This role will be supporting Jonny with his day-to-day work as an agent and will handle queries from clients, read submissions, prepare reader reports and undertake editorial work as directed. You will also be responsible for the office publication schedule to ensure proper invoicing and payment of advances and overseeing all databases, including details of contracts and invoicing.

It is essential that you are a confident and clear communicator with excellent written, organisational and administrative skills. You must be meticulous about detail and be able to juggle a busy workload to meet deadlines. Experience of and confidence in dealing with contracts and contract negotiations is also essential. You’ll need superb time management skills and a cool head under pressure!

Please note that this is not an entry level position and you must have significant prior experience of working in a similar role, preferably in an agency or publishing house. Salary will depend on the level of experience, we also offer an annual performance bonus and an attractive benefits package.

Office Assistant, Talent Department (12 month contract)

We're looking for an Office Assistant to join a small team of two Agents and two Agent Assistants in our Talent Department. This is a 12 month, fixed-term contract. 

We’re looking for excellent administrative and organisational skills including experience of using Microsoft packages. You should be comfortable using various Social Media. This role covers general admin duties and diary management for the Agents. You must have at least a year’s previous office experience, preferably gained in an arts environment. 

You will be joining a lively and busy team who look after high profile clients - you should have the ability to work on your own initiative without close supervision. You also need to be able to remain calm and focused when under pressure.​ This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, confident and proactive individual to learn about the world of agenting.
