Assistant - Theatre Film & TV (TFTV) Department (temporary contract to cover maternity leave, to start Mid-August 2017)

We are looking for a hard-working team player with a knowledge and love of the industry to cover  a period of maternity leave (1 year).  You’ll be working to support the office of Amanda Davis, Head of TFTV Department.

Please note that this is not an entry level job; we are looking for someone with at least 2 years of relevant experience, ideally within an agency. You should have existing knowledge of the television, film and theatre industry. A love of material is key to the role – so we’re looking for someone who reads and watches TV, film and theatre avidly.

As well as working one-to-one with Amanda, this role involves a lot of client and producer contact. We value team spirit, so the successful candidate will also be required to work collaboratively to help support the whole TFTV Department team. Our ideal candidate will be outward-facing and have excellent communication skills – you should be good with people!

We’re looking for someone who will work with our clients creatively, contributing to evaluating material for the clients’ consideration and building their relationships with the industry.   You will be required to quickly gain excellent knowledge of clients’ material so that you can talk to producers and industry contacts with insight and authority.

An assistant is the first point of call for the office, so our ideal candidate is personable and engaged. The ability to efficiently manage administration, information and contracts is also essential.  This is an admin heavy role (covering a variety of areas including scheduling, invoicing and payment processing, website management, compiling of client suggestions, maintenance of in-house data systems etc) so we require someone organised, efficient and tech-savvy.

For the right person, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn and develop, to gain an overview of the industry and to make relationships for the future.
