1. ASSISTANT TO PRESENTERS' AGENT (TALENT DEPARTMENT)

Do you have your finger on the pulse of popular culture? Do you think you know what's hot? (and what's not!?)​...

We're looking for an assistant to join our Talent Department and help support the busy office of a Presenters' Agent . You would be working alongside one other assistant.  You must have previous office experience and it would be useful if you have previous experience of working in a talent or casting agency, event management company or an advertising agency. Our ideal candidate will have excellent administrative and communication skills - a confident and friendly telephone manner is essential as you'll be speaking to clients and industry contacts every day. 

This busy role requires first-rate time and diary management skills. You should be well-organised and meticulous about detail. You must be confident using web content software and social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook.

2.  CLIENT ACCOUNTS COORDINATOR (BUSINESS SUPPORT DEPARTMENT)

Our Client Accounts team play an important, vital role in our business and we're looking for a coordinator to join this busy team. The Client Accounts Team are responsible for invoicing on behalf of our clients, collecting and processing monies and ensuring that all our hard-working clients are paid correctly and on time!

The main purpose of this role is to provide administrative and accounting assistance to the company’s Books and Book Translations Rights areas (with particular responsibility for clients formerly represented by Ed Victor Ltd) by helping with the timely processing of payments to clients, in this case to authors.

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year's work experience in a similar role, preferably gained working in an agency, publishing house or finance department. You must enjoy and be confident working with numbers, and with using databases and spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel). We require excellent communication and administrative skills and the ability to maintain focus while working to tight deadlines.

If you enjoy reading books, watching films and going to the theatre, then this is a great opportunity to gain experience of the business side of the entertainment industry.

3. TEAM ASSISTANT  - Curtis Brown Creative Ltd  

Curtis Brown Creative ("CBC"), the UK's only agent-led creative-writing school, is hiring a full-time Team Assistant. They are looking for a smart newcomer to join their small team, which provides high-quality creative writing courses to aspiring novelists, online and in London.    This role offers the opportunity to assist in the running and marketing of all CBC's creative-writing courses with key focus their online courses.

This position would suit someone who has already spent at least six months working or interning in one or more of the following areas:

  • Publishing/book-selling Online
  • Content provision - creative arts/books
  • Digital marketing/promotion/SEO
  • Social media
  • Print/broadcast journalism
  • Adult Education (creative arts/media)

CBC are looking for someone innovative and energetic, with excellent writing and administrative skills – and ideally with experience and interest in digital marketing/promotion/content provision. 

You’ll need to be a confident, clear and sensitive communicator, a creative thinker
with some commercial nous, and an avid reader. You should be competent in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint, and adept with social media. Some experience with filming and editing video would be advantageous.

Working hours are 9.30am to 6.00pm (with an hour for lunch), though you will sometimes be expected to work slightly later to provide support for classes taking place in our offices in the evenings.
