Festival Coordinator - Words weekend (Fane Ltd)
One of our sister companies, Fane (www.fane.co.uk) is looking for an experienced, creative and proactive individual to join their rapidly expanding and vibrant team as Festival Coordinator for Words Weekend, a brand new spoken words festival.
Fane is a leading live events producer with three principal areas of business: producing and touring bespoke spoken word events with authors and public figures at the top of their profession, producing festivals and one-off events; and, short seasons at multiple venues.
Main duties for the Festival Coordinator are:
1. To work with and support the Artistic Director in producing and programming a varied and diverse series of festivals across the UK;
2. To work alongside Artistic Director to build relationships across the industry including but not limited to publishers, editors, agents, venues, and community groups to embed Words Weekend in the UK and build towards an international portfolio.
Their ideal candidate will have 2-3 years previous experience coordinating festivals or literature and spoken word events. Fane are looking for someone with a passion for culture who can build on an existing network of contacts and further develop their interests across literary and multiple art forms to help plan and deliver high-quality festival series in line with Fane and Words Weekend’s artistic vision.
You must have excellent admininstrative, production and organisational skills. This role will mean planning and delivering multiple festivals concurrently and will require outstanding time-management and prioritisation skills.
The role will be based in Fane's offices in Haymarket, London. Working hours are 9.30am – 6pm, Monday to Friday, but there will be an expectation to work some evenings and weekends as required. Salary will depend on the level of experience. Fane also offers an annual performance bonus and an attractive benefits package.

Second Assistant to Agent - Theatre, Film and TV (TFTV) Department
(12 month, full-time contract)
We’re looking for an assistant to join our TFTV Department. This position is a great way into the industry where you will discover how an agency works and learn agenting from the ground up.
You will be supporting the office of a busy agent, and working alongside their first
assistant. This role has two main focuses: firstly, theatre licencing, theatre commissions and the publishing of plays; and secondly, general administration for the agent and their clients. The successful candidate will have a knowledge and love of theatre, be very well organised – and keen to learn!
You will need good administrative skills and experience of working in an office, preferably within the media/arts industry. You’ll also need a confident phone manner, to be good at multi-tasking and also be happy to work unsupervised where required, managing your own workload.
