Sebastian Armesto, Cush Jumbo and Sara Vickers nominated for the Ian Charleson Award

Sebastian Armesto, Cush Jumbo and Sara Vickers have received nominations for this year’s Ian Charleson Awards, held in association with the Sunday Times and the National Theatre.
Sebastian is nominated for his performance as Master Wendoll in Katie Mitchell’s production of A Woman Killed with Kindness at the National Theatre last year.
Cush is nominated for her role as Shakespearean heroine Rosalind in Greg Hersov’s production of As You Like It at the Royal Exchange Theatre Manchester.
Sara (pictured) is nominated for her performance as Annabella in Jonathan Munby’s production of John Ford’s 17th Century Tragedy Tis Pity She’s A Whore at the West Yorkshire Playhouse last year.
The Ian Charleson Award was established in 1991 in memory of the actor Ian Charleson and recognises actors under the age of 30 performing in classical stage roles written before 1918. The Awards ceremony will take place at the National Theatre on May 18th.
