Angelina was born in Moscow before moving to London aged 13. She has an MA in anthropology from SOAS and a PhD in film studies from Aberystwyth and graduated from the NFTS in 2018.

Whilst at the NFTS Angelina's script Eggshells was selected for the prestigious 4Screenwriting course where she developed Live A Little which is being developed with Shelley Productions.

Angelina is currently developing a project on Jewish refugees finding an unexpected sanctuary in Shanghai, and a biopic of the stepsisters, Claude Cahun and Suzanne Malherbe: lovers, Surrealist artists, and unsung heroines of resistance in Nazi-occupied Jersey.
