Bernice Barrington was brought up on a farm in north Longford but left the Irish midlands to study English and German at Trinity College Dublin in the late Nineties. In 2003 she completed an MA in Writing at NUI, Galway, and has been employed for the past twelve years as a journalist, editor and sub-editor, working for both national and regional publications. She lives in the south Dublin village of Dalkey with her husband, Brian.

Her first novel, Sisters and Lies, was published by Penguin in 2016.
