Giovanna Pierini's first novel, La dama con il ventaglio (Electa, 2018) features the Mannerist painter Sofonisba Anguissola. Giovanna previously worked as a journalist, covering media and management. In 2006 she published Informazioni Riservate with Alessandro Tosi. She currently writes fiction and works as an art curator for the archive of her mother, the painter Luciana Bora (1926-2007). Giovanna was born and lives in Milan.
