Jadelin was born in Brazzaville, Congo, grew up in Italy and is now based in London. He has been writing since he was sixteen, and published his first novel in Italian, Verso la Notte Bakonga, in 1999 (Portofranco). He then published Rometta e Giulieo (Feltrinelli Editore, 2001), and Due volte (E/O, 2009). He is also a playwright, songwriter and teacher of creative writing. He is the father of four children, a qualified acupuncturist and a chef. Ground is his first novel written in English.
