John’s short film ‘Some Candid Observations’ starring Adrian Scarborough and Theo Barklem-Biggs won the Creative England London Calling Jury Award and played at various festivals including its premiere at the London Film Festival.

John was lead director on the third series of 4 O’CLOCK CLUB starring Doc Brown for BBC. His episode ‘CHRISTMAS’ won an RTS Award for Best Children’s Fiction and he was also lead director on the third series of the BBC Eastenders spin off E20.

He was lead director on the pilot episode of the BAFTA winning E4 series MADE IN CHELSEA and has built up flying hours by directing long running series’ including HOLBY CITY, EASTENDERS and HOLLYOAKS. In 2021 John directed the Christmas Special of Eastenders.

John directed the sell out play IN MY NAME written by Steven Hevey at the Old Red Lion Theatre in Islington, starring Adeel Akhtar and Ray Panthaki. The play transferred to the Trafalgar Studios in London. He also directed the play BILLY AND THE CRAB LADY written by Holly Phillips at the Tram and Social.
