Karen Tucker's fiction appears in The Missouri Review, The Yale Review Online, Boulevard, EPOCH, Tin House Online, American Literary Review, Salamander, Carve Magazine, and elsewhere. She serves as Fiction Editor for The Southeast Review.
Born and raised in North Carolina, her awards include a 2019-2020 P.E.O. Scholar Award, an Elizabeth George Foundation Grant for Emerging Writers, the George M. Harper Award for Creative Writing, the Jerome Stern Series Spotlight Award in fiction, judged by David Shields, and a scholarship to Longleaf Writers Conference. She's currently a PhD Candidate in Creative Writing at Florida State.
