Playwright and writer for film, television and radio.

Katie is an experienced writer for television and theatre.

She started out as a comedy writer and more recently has focused on drama, working as a a core member of the EastEnders and Holby City writing teams, and as a writer-for-hire on numerous prime-time dramas.

Her playwriting includes the acclaimed I Got Superpowers For My Birthday with Paines Plough and Follow Follow as part of the National Theatre Connections scheme. Katie has also worked with theatres including the Liverpool Everyman, the RSC, Soho and The Royal Exchange. 

She was awarded the Frank Deasy Award in 2013.
