Kevin is a writer for television

Kevin Rundle is a writer and story consultant currently working as the Series Story Consultant on Hollyoaks (C4). In Kevin’s current role he writes episodes for the show (over 100 to date) and works closely with the producers to develop the long term story plan and the overall creative vision for the show.

Kevin has also written 6 episodes of Casualty for BBC 1, the opening episode of Hollyoaks Later (2013) for E4, and the one off Hollyoaks special Chasing Rainbows for E4.

Kevin started his career as an assistant script editor on The Bill (ITV1) in 2003 - a show on which he performed a variety of script and story roles – he produced The Bill’s cross-over episodes with German police show SOKO Leipzig (ZDF), Story Produced the RTS winning episodes in 2008, the BAFTA winning episodes in 2009 and worked on the show right up until the final episode in 2010 where he a blagged a spot as a background artist playing a very unconvincing journalist.

Kevin also worked as the series story editor on EastEnders (2004-06) where he helped to kill off Dirty Den for the second time – and put a sizable dent in Pat Butcher’s stack of publicity shots for his 2004 Christmas cards.  

Kevin has also spent time as a development producer for TalkbackTHAMEs and UFA (via their development office in Berlin) - Worked as a Development Executive for SKY - a story consultant for Left Bank Pictures on series 4 of Strike Back (SKY 1, HBO CINEMAX) – a Story consultant for HBO Europe on their Hungarian Romantic Comedy Tarsas Jatak - and many moons ago had a staggeringly successful stint as an out-of-work actor.
