Ann Cockrel

Lisa Ann Cockrel’s writing explores the interplay between social bodies and individual bodies, with a specific focus on fat bodies. She spent 15 years as an editor for magazines and then books before moving into work directing programs for arts nonprofits. She has an MFA from Bennington College where she was selected as their first Residential Teaching Fellow. Lisa grew up in small-town Texas, but spent twenty years living in or near Chicago before moving to Seattle, where she now lives.
