Matt Haig is a novelist and writer for film and his bestselling novels include The Last Family in England, The Radleys and The Humans.
Matt has written extensively for both adults and children and all of his adult novels have been optioned for film. His children's novels have won the Smarties Gold Medal, the Blue Peter Book of the Year, been shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize and nominated for the Carnegie Medal three times.
Matt wrote on the hugely successful Paddington film, which released in the UK in November 2014 and is currently working on adaptations of several of his own novels, including The Last Family in England for Plan B and The Radleys for Alfonso Cuaron as well as working on The Yeti Project for Studio AKA. His children's book, A Boy Called Christmas and his most recent novel A Midnight Library have also been optioned by Blueprint Pictures and Studio Canal. The TV rights to Echo Boy has been optioned to Submarine, the animation studio based in The Netherlands.
Matt is currently in development on Notes On A Nervous Planet with Mammoth Screen.
