Simon Judd began his career with BBC Comedy, working on The Thick of It, Little Britain and Help! From there he went to Emmerdale where he worked on over 300 episodes both as a writer and script editor. Simon sold his first comedy script to the BBC before taking up his role as Development Executive for BBC Drama North, where he’s worked on 32 Brinkburn Street, The Preston Passion, The Secret of Crickley Hall, From Darkness, In the Dark and BBC3 multi-BAFTA winning drama In The Flesh, which he optioned, developed and script edited.
Alex met Simon while working on Emmerdale during Alex's ten year award winning acting stint between the fictional villages of Hollyoaks and Hotten; in 2004 he was officially funnier than Shane Richie. Since leaving the nation's 3rd and 4th favourite serial dramas Alex has appeared in shows including In With The Flynns, Give Out Girls, So Awkward, Downton Abbey, and Cuffs.
Together, their first original project which they wrote, created and produced - Living The Dream - was commissioned by E4 for two pilots, which were both shot and followed with further script commissions. They have written for Crackanory, and have TV projects at various stages of development with Tiger Aspect, Retort and Red. They are currently writing a feature film commission with Creative England, to be directed by Mustapha Kseibati and produced by Ken Marshall (Filth). They have also written for Hollyoaks and Hollyoaks Best Bits 2011. In fact, one of their episodes of Hollyoaks was among the lowest rating ever. Blame the tennis.
