Curtis Brown actors stick together in E4's Glue

Billy Howle, Tommy Knight, Hana Luheshi, Faye Marsay, Yasmin Paige and Callum Turner star in E4’s edgy new 8-part drama Glue.

Written by the BAFTA award-winning writer Jack Thorne (Skins, The Fades) Glue is a murder mystery set against the backdrop of a rural Berkshire racing community where a group of local young people come to terms with what would appear to be a random killing.

Yasmin Paige takes on the role of ‘Ruth’, a local policewoman struggling with her latest assignment which happens to involve her own friends. Yasmin is best known for her role in Richard Ayoade’s Submarine and more recently as a series regular in Pramface for BBC3.

Callum Turner plays the stoic and charismatic Eli Bray; the brother of the murder victim Caleb. Having lost his mother and now his brother, and with his father in prison, Eli is desperately searching for justice. Callum, who was selected as one of Screen International 2014 Stars of Tomorrow has had a busy year. He can soon be seen in the leading role of Bill in Queen and Country, director John Boorman’s follow up to the Oscar nominated feature Hope and Glory and he recently finished filming in Fox’s Frankenstein directed by Paul McGuigan alongside Daniel Radcliffe and James McAvoy.

Faye Marsay plays Janine Riley, a local vet. She is rocked by the mysterious death but appears to have a mysterious past of her own. This month sees Faye receiving rave reviews for her role as Steph in Pride, which proved to be a runaway hit at the Toronto Film Festival. Faye has also played leading roles in BBC1’s hit series The White Queen, The Bletchley Circle for ITV and Channel 4’s hit comedy Fresh Meat.

Tommy Knight plays sparky young Romany boy Caleb who’s death exposes the dark secrets that have been hidden in the village. Tommy soon begins rehearsals for Jack Thorne’s play Hope in which he plays the lead role of Jake. Hope opens at the Royal Court Theatre in London in November.

Billy Howle plays James who lives and works on the farm with his mum where Caleb’s body is discovered. Billy graduated from Bristol Old Vic last summer and is currently shooting the BBC adaptation of Cider With Rosie opposite Samantha Morton.

Hana Luheshi plays Marah, a Romany Traveller who watches events very closely as they unfold.

Glue begins on E4 on Monday 15th September at 10pm.
