Award-winning French author, Audrey Alwett, has been nominated for the prestigious Grand Prix de l'Imaginaire for her Magic Charly series. The GPI, or Grand Prix de l'Imaginaire, is the one of the longest-running literary awards in France. It is devoted to the best of science fiction and fantasy.
The Magic Charly series has now sold over 50,000 copies in France. Described as Harry Potter meets Terry Pratchett with a hint of Hayao Miyazaki, the first in the series, The Apprentice, won the Prix Ado Rennes Ille-et-Vilaine 2021 and the Prix Crok'Livres 2021, as well as featuring on numerous shortlists.
