Margaret Atwood wins the 2017 Raymond Chandler award

Margaret Atwood has won the prestigious Raymond Chandler Award 2017. Established by film critic Irene Bignardi in collaboration with the Raymond Chandler Estate the award is given out annually to a master of noir fiction with previous winners including John le Carre, JD James and Andrea Camilleri.

Praised for her conversation of feminism and her examination of ‘otherness’, Margaret Atwood will receive her award early December at the Teatro Sociale in Como where she will meet with the Noir in Festival audiences and give a talk before the ceremony.
