Phoebe Fox and Michael Gould star in A View From The Bridge Broadway transfer

Phoebe Fox and Michael Gould star in the Broadway transfer of A View From The Bridge, following two completely sold-out critically-acclaimed engagements in London.

Ivo van Hove's production of Arthur Miller's Brooklyn-set classic won three Olivier and two Critics' Circle awards on its London run, before moving to the Lyceum Theatre in the heart of New York. A stripped-back staging, the production focuses in on Eddie Carbone as his family plunges towards a major crisis over his own jealousy and mistrust of his niece Catherine's new boyfriend, which pushes him to commit the ultimate betrayal.

Phoebe reprises her performance as Catherine, for which she won an Olivier award nomination last year. A smart, young Italian-American girl, popular with boys in the local community, Catherine desperately seeks approval from her uncle Eddie, and struggles when he does not approve of the man she intends to marry, Rodolpho. Earlier this year, Phoebe could be seen Life in Squares on BBC Two and will star in the feature Eye in the Sky, which is set for a nationwide cinema release early 2016.

Michael plays the Italian-American lawyer Alfieri, who acts as confidant and advisor to Eddie. Having starred in both the Young Vic run and the West End transfer, Michael was most recently seen opposite Kristin Scott Thomas in the West End run of Stephen Daldry’s The Audience.

A View from the Bridge runs at the Lyceum Theatre until the 21st February 2016.
