Stephen McCole stars in Happy Hour

Stephen McCole stars in Happy Hour as part of the Autum/Winter season of the hugely popular A Play, A Pie and A Pint UK tour.

Anita Vettesse’s darkly comic drama is set in the back room of a pub, where a quarrelsome family gather before scattering their Dad’s ashes, but the bitter resentments and long held grudges may prevent him from resting in peace. The play details the petty squabbles and failed aspirations of one family that will resonate long after the curtain call.

Stephen plays Tom, Anne’s heavily jet lagged son who has returned with his sister Kay to scatter his father’s ashes. Stephen also plays the series regular Alan Lindsay in the Scottish soap opera River City and was seen in the hugely successful play Black Watch at the National Theatre of Scotland. He also starred in Robert Carlyle’s directorial debut The Legend of Barney Thompson which premiered at the International Film Festival in Edinburgh.

Happy Hour opens at the Oran Mor theatre on Monday 9th November 2015 before going on to the Tobacco Factory in Bristol (from 16th November) and the Sherman Cymru theatre in Cardiff (from 23rd November).
