Vinette Robinson wins Best Supporting Actress at the BIFAs

Vinette Robinson picked up the award for Best Supporting Actress at the British Independent Film Awards on Sunday 5th December.

Vinette's 'outstanding' (BFIperformance as a particularly put-upon sous chef in Phil Barantini's one-take whirl through a tense night in a London restaurant, Boiling Pointearned her the award in a highly competitive category, with fellow nominees including Judi Dench and Tilda Swinton. 

Other winners in the awards ceremony hosted by Asim Chaudhry included Femme starring Paapa Essiedu and Demmy LadipoSam H. Freeman's crime thriller following a queer Londoner whose night spirals out of control when he steps into a drug-dealer's car, which was awarded Best British Short Film.

Boiling Point starring Vinette Robinson is due to be released in the UK on 7th January 2022.
